The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Radiology plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between scientific innovation and the healthcare community. This position is responsible for delivering objective, evidence-based medical information to healthcare professionals and researchers to support the safe and effective use of diagnostic imaging products. The MSL will develop and execute clinical education strategies, provide training in a variety of formats (in-person, virtual, and hybrid), and engage with thought leaders to enhance understanding of therapeutic areas. This field-based role requires up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain scientific and clinical expertise through training, literature review, and attendance at conferences and medical meetings.
Deliver high-quality scientific presentations and conduct direct scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals.
Identify, engage, and support key opinion leaders (KOLs) and thought leaders in the radiology and imaging space.
Support research initiatives and investigator-initiated studies by identifying qualified research sites.
Provide clinical and protocol guidance to healthcare providers to support optimal patient outcomes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams in research, clinical, and commercial functions.
Monitor and report on competitive activity and market trends.
Contribute insights to help inform segmentation strategies and business planning.
Facilitate meaningful discussions around clinical challenges, data gaps, and patient care improvements.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate complex scientific information.
Deep understanding of radiology workflows, contrast agents, and diagnostic imaging trends.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with healthcare providers and researchers.
Ability to synthesize and translate scientific data into clear, relevant insights.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree required: PharmD, MD, PhD, MBBS, or equivalent.
Professional licensure with CEU documentation, where applicable.
Prior MSL or field medical affairs experience in radiology, imaging, or a related therapeutic area strongly preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
