We are partnering with a growing organization in Batavia, Illinois, seeking a highly organized Supply Chain Assistant to support daily logistics, procurement, and inventory operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and is motivated by keeping supply chain processes running smoothly. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension and follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite presence required several days per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams

  • Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and follow‑up with vendors and internal stakeholders

  • Monitor inventory levels, update system records, and support cycle counts or reconciliation activities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with carriers

  • Maintain accurate data within ERP or supply chain management systems

  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation related to purchasing, inventory, and logistics

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution

  • Support cross‑functional teams with supply chain inquiries, documentation needs, and process updates

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements

  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience

  • 2-4 years of administrative or supply chain support experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with ERP systems or supply chain software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy in a fast‑paced setting

  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams while working independently
