The Raleigh office of a leading law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for a direct-hire, permanent position. This Legal Assistant will join a wonderful team and provide legal administrative support.
Ideal Legal Assistant candidates will have at least two years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm. We are looking for a self-starter who can multitask and prioritize, with strong technical skills, including MS Word and Excel.
The responsibilities of this Legal Assistant will include:
- Opening new client matters
- Drafting legal correspondence and documents
- Scheduling meetings, phone calls, and legal events and managing the attorneys' calendars
- Handling travel arrangements
- Preparing monthly expense reports
- Communicating with clients, court officials, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
- Maintaining files
- Entering attorney time and assisting with bills
- Assisting with e-filing
- Additional responsibilities as needed
