Beacon Hill is a proud partner to a reputable Housing Authority. We are currently hiring an Accounting Specialist.

Responsibilities/Duties

The responsibilities of the Accounting Specialist are, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and send invoices for inspection services on a regular schedule.

• Ensure accuracy in billing details, including service descriptions, rates, and client information.

• Track and follow up on outstanding invoices; manage collections as needed.

• Maintain organized records of all AR and billing activity.

• Communicate with clients professionally regarding billing inquiries or disputes.

• Process payroll twice monthly for 10-15 employees and approximately 25 independent contractors.

• Collect and verify time entries and other payroll-related data.

• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes.

• Coordinate payment methods (e.g., direct deposit, checks).

• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws.

• Prepare year-end tax forms (e.g., W-2s for employees and 1099s for contractors).

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or payroll administration.

• Proficiency with accounting/payroll software (e.g.,Great Plains, SharePoint or ADP)

• Strong Excel and data entry skills.

• High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
