Join a fast-growing fintech company transforming the financial services landscape. This is a high-impact role for a detail-oriented, hands-on accounting professional looking to grow into a permanent leadership position.

Position Summary:
The Assistant Controller will support the CFO and finance leadership team with all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. This role will manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensure compliance with GAAP, and assist in process improvements and system implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes; prepare financial statements.

  • Assist CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

  • Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.

  • Review and improve accounting processes and workflows.

  • Manage and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, payroll, and finance teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

  • Experience in fintech or high-growth companies preferred.

  • Strong technical skills in accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).

  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial reporting tools a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
