Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a client in the King of Prussia area. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, and conducting internal audits. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records and reports

  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures

  • Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial information

  • Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation

  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data

  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed

  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with [ERP Software like NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.] preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • CPA candidate or certification a plus
