Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position will support month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.

• Analyze financial information and provide insights to management for decision-making.

• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.

• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and controls.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and month-end close responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
