Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be ASCP certified and responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical laboratory tests and procedures in areas such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, and urinalysis.

  • Collect and process specimens (blood, urine, etc.) in accordance with established protocols.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

  • Analyze test results and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with quality control standards.

  • Document and report test results to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

  • Adhere to all laboratory safety procedures and regulations.

  • Participate in continuing education and training to remain current with best practices and technology.

  • Assist with inventory, ordering of supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.

  • Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required.

  • Minimum of [1-2] years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (preferred).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).


Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.

  • May be exposed to infectious materials and hazardous chemicals.

  • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed.
