Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations in our chemical laboratory. The ideal candidate will assist in conducting experiments, preparing chemical solutions, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist chemists and laboratory technicians in chemical testing, analysis, and synthesis procedures

• Prepare and label chemical solutions and reagents accurately according to standard protocols

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory, including glassware cleaning and chemical waste disposal

• Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment

• Record and organize data from experiments and quality control processes

• Monitor inventory of chemicals and lab supplies; report shortages to supervisor

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices

• Support in the documentation and maintenance of lab notebooks and records in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or coursework in chemistry, biology, or a related science preferred

• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a chemical or industrial lab setting

• Knowledge with HPLC/GC Operation

• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs

• Comfortable working with chemicals and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
