Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products through regular laboratory testing and analysis. This position requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of laboratory processes, and a passion for maintaining high standards in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products in accordance with established quality control procedures and specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for testing.
- Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and escalate issues when necessary.
- Work with the production team to investigate and resolve product quality issues.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and samples following safety and environmental regulations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute to process optimization within the laboratory.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict guidelines and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of lifting when necessary.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals and various testing materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and equipment (e.g., pH meters, microscopes, spectrophotometers).
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and industry standards.
