Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Type: 6-month contract (with opportunity for hire)

Pay: $20 an hour

Location: Eden Prairie, MN

Job Description:

Beacon Hill's client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This position is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of logistics operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute logistics tasks with a focus on quality and efficiency in accordance with office and company policies, as well as standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide shipment information, create orders, activate shipments, build and assign loads, and schedule appointments.
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues as needed.
  • Monitor task boards and assigned email accounts, responding promptly to customer and carrier requests.
  • Document events and activities in accordance with SOPs, utilizing experience and training to follow escalation procedures when necessary.
  • Follow through on customer or carrier requests, ensuring satisfaction and escalating issues when required.
  • Validate load data for accuracy in systems, adhering to company and customer standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on team and country-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous customer service experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Previous customer service experience in a call center or similar environment.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Prior work experience that required attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and inclusive work environment.
