Position Overview
Beacon Hill's client is seeking an Operations Coordinator to perform operational tasks to support the transportation needs of customers and carriers. This role emphasizes data integrity, quality, and efficiency. The Operations Coordinator will support specific customers, vertical segments, or centralized operations centers by executing various operational duties and ensuring smooth, timely coordination.
This is an exciting contract opportunity with potential for permanent hire that is onsite in Eden Prairie, MN.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute tasks focusing on quality and efficiency, including providing shipment information, creating orders, activating shipments, building and assigning loads, scheduling appointments, tracking and tracing shipments, entering events, and invoicing in line with office policies and SOPs.
- Monitor task boards and assigned email accounts to respond to customer and carrier requests promptly.
- Document events accurately, using knowledge from SOPs and past experience. Escalate issues as needed following defined procedures.
- Follow up on customer or carrier requests to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Validate load data accuracy in systems according to customer standards.
- Other duties as assigned, based on team and/or country-specific needs.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous customer service experience
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in a call center or similar customer service environment
- Strong communication, prioritization, and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in previous roles
