HR Benefits Project Manager (Patr-Time, Contract)

Beacon Hill's client is seeking a highly motivated HR Benefits Project Manager to support the Benefits team in executing key initiatives aligned with 2025 HR objectives. This contract position will start at 20 hours per week Monday-Friday.

This is an exciting part-time contract opportunity that is primarily remote in Minnetonka, MN.

About the Role

The HR Benefits Project Manager will lead and support critical projects, including:

  • Claims platform migration

  • Medical benefit redesign initiative

  • RFP/RFI processes and vendor selection/implementation

  • Other key benefits-related priorities

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, adept at managing complex projects, and willing to engage in some hands-on subject matter expert (SME) tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closeout, ensuring timelines and objectives are met

  • Provide project management support, status reports, and relevant materials for project teams, stakeholders, and leadership

  • Track and monitor milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues

  • Lead RFP/RFI processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiations (in partnership with legal), and transition planning

  • Collaborate with communication and change management teams to develop content and strategies that enhance employee engagement and adoption

  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings, ensuring alignment across teams

  • Support foundational SME work, such as drafting initial communications and presentations

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within Human Resources

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare benefits

  • Experience with benefits platforms and technology

  • Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes and vendor integrations
