My client, one of the largest, most renowned REIT in NYC, is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team. This role will report to the Manager, who has been with the firm for four years, and will work alongside a team of other Property Accountants. You will handle a certain number of buildings in this role using Yardi, so any experience with this software would be ideal but not required. The day to day responsibilities include analyzing and reconciling accounts, GL/Journal Entry input and reconciliations to sub-ledgers. Additionally, you will prepare sales tax returns and maintain lead sheet workpapers including depreciation, amortization, tenant improvements, and pre-paid schedules. Ideal candidate should have 1+ years' experience in the Real Estate industry with a BS in Accounting and a passion for real estate. You need to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to effectively work on a team, and thrive in a fast-paced business environment. The work schedule is 5 days in the beautifully renovated office, which is conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan with a 1 day work from home monthly.
