Required Skills:
3+ years of experience with software development of Java applications
3+ years of experience with J2EE framework
3+ years of experience with RDMS such as Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and writing SQL
3+ years of experience with Java IDE such as Eclipse or Intellij
3+ years of experience with XSL, XSLT or XPath
2+ years of experience writing Spring Boot applications and test-driven development
Experience with web-based data formats (XML, JSON)
Experience with GitHub for version control
Experience using monitoring tools to troubleshoot and maintain performance
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail
Desired Skills:
Development experience in Guidewire products like ClaimCenter
At least 1 year of experience coding Cloud Native Development applications
Agile Scrum development methodology experience
Guidewire ClaimCenter Certified
UC4/Automic or other enterprise scheduling application
Description of Role/Responsibilities/Project:
We're looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our team, working on cloud-native applications and data integrations within the insurance space. You'll develop and maintain solutions that transform data from systems like ClaimCenter and ContactManager into warehouse-ready formats (XML/JSON). This role blends backend development, data transformation, and production support in an Agile Scrum environment. You'll work with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, SQL, XML/XSLT, and cloud tools collaborating across teams on design, testing, and performance troubleshooting. Experience with test-driven development, version control (GitHub), and monitoring tools is key. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are must-haves.
