Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to support lending operations by evaluating the financial condition of both individual and business borrowers. This role involves the preparation of financial analyses, loan documentation, and internal reports to assist in credit decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Review & Analysis: Collect and assess financial data from loan applicants, including tax returns, balance sheets, income statements, and aging schedules (A/R, A/P) to evaluate creditworthiness. Retrieve and review credit reports, background checks, and relevant third-party data sources.

Financial Statement Spreading: Utilize financial analysis software to input and spread personal and business financials. Supplement system-generated reports with custom Excel schedules when needed to accurately reflect borrower performance, cash flow, and overall financial health.

Credit Memos & Loan Packages: Collaborate with lending officers to prepare comprehensive credit memoranda and lending proposals for internal approval. Ensure that all materials meet appropriate standards for presentation to senior credit staff, internal credit committees, and board-level reviewers.

System Management: Maintain accurate records in the bank's loan processing platform and ensure financial data is consistently updated and aligned across systems.

Ideal Background:

Experience in commercial or consumer lending analysis at a bank

Proficiency with financial analysis tools (e.g., Sageworks, Excel, Word)

Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data

Familiarity with loan documentation, credit processes, and regulatory standards
