We are actively seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the Atlanta, GA. This is a contract to hire role. The role will require you to do the following:
- Process monthly rent deposits electronically and manually, including taking deposits to the bank on a regular basis
- Input rent payment batches into financial software system
- Assist with updates to tenant charges in financial software system
- Process monthly AP invoices in multiple paperless AP systems, including coding to correct accounts and proper descriptions
- Upload check copies into paperless AP system
- Assist with monthly Commission processing and payments.
- Assist with property onboarding to include utility transfers
- Research vendor statements and open balances, as needed
- Assist with tracking and processing annual real estate tax bills
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work experience in real estate industry, commercial real estate preferred, but not required
- Accounting experience, particularly accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Experience with property management/accounting software including Yardi, MRI, and Avidxchange a plus
