Beacon Hill is a proud partner to a reputable Architecture Firm in Chicago. We are currently hiring a Senior Project Accountant.

Responsibilities/Duties

The responsibilities of the Project Accountant are, but are not limited to:

• Collaborates with Project Managers and office leadership to monitor and optimize project financial performance, including reviewing work plans, budgets, and staffing allocations to ensure fee alignment; delivers project financial training as needed.
• Executes core accounting functions such as time and expense reporting, client invoicing, collections, A/R, A/P, and journal entries.
• Prepares and analyzes monthly financial and operational reports, supports executive decision-making through ad-hoc analysis, and performs budgeting and variance reviews.
• Contributes to the development and execution of the annual operating plan.
• Manages the preparation and submission of local business license applications, sales & use tax filings, and occupancy tax returns in compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
• Assists with firmwide corporate accounting reporting requirements to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Coordinates with other offices on multi-studio projects, maintaining clear and consistent communication to support smooth collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related
• Experience in the Professional Services Industry
• 4+ years of Project Accounting experience
• Strong data entry, written and verbal communication skills
