Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a Business Litigation Practice Group in Austin. This is a full-time, direct hire, and fully on-site position. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, including commercial litigation and intellectual property (IP) litigation matters. Flexibility to work overtime when necessary is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file pleadings with accuracy and attention to detail
- Draft and manage client correspondence, ensuring clear and professional communication
- Perform thorough document review to support case preparation
- Assist with discovery processes, including gathering and organizing evidence
- Maintain a calendar of docket events and deadlines to ensure timely case progression
- Provide support during trials, including utilizing presentation technology to aid in case presentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, and at least one of the following criteria: (1) 4+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm; (2) Paralegal Certificate; (3) Certified Legal Assistant - Paralegal
- State and Federal filing experience required
- Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
- Proven experience in preparing and filing pleadings, drafting client correspondence, performing document review, assisting with discovery, maintaining a calendar of docket events and deadlines, and assisting at trial
- Ability to work overtime when necessary to meet case demands
