Sr. Electrical Designer - 6-Month Contract-to-Hire | Two-Round Interview Process

Due to a recently awarded project, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Designer to join our growing Power Global Practice team. This position offers a chance to apply your design and coordination skills across a range of high-impact projects in the refining, midstream, chemicals, and renewable markets. The role will begin as a six-month contract-to-hire engagement with the potential for full-time conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and layout of grounding, conduit, cable tray, duct bank, and lighting systems

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawing packages including one-lines, schematics, and installation details

• Execute calculations and ensure designs align with applicable codes and specifications

• Revise, organize, and maintain project documentation in a clear and traceable format

• Partner with internal teams, clients, and vendors to deliver accurate, timely results

• Incorporate project criteria, schedules, and budgets into technical work

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in drafting technology (or related field) with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience

• Proficiency in both 2D and 3D software, preferably SmartPlant 3D and AutoCAD

• Experience in refinery, gas processing, or pipeline environments; hazardous area design knowledge is a plus

• Working knowledge of NEC code, electricity fundamentals, and CAD standards

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally

• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving ability

• Must be able to work onsite five days a week and travel to job sites as needed
