Confidential Senior Accountant - Western MA/Northern CT
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 3+ years of private accounting experience to join our client's team. This role is 100% on site in the Western MA/Northern CT area, and offers excellent culture, and benefits. Key Responsibilities:
- Direct oversight of payroll-related accounts as part of close (e.g., payroll liabilities, PTO, reconciliations, etc.)
- Assist with financial statement preparation and analyze financial reports
- Assist components of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Assist with project accounting and tracking project-level financials
- Support internal and external audit processes and ensure proper documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and project teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in professional services company preferred
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
