As a Technical Editor Senior you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Technical Editor Senior joining our team to enhance our deliverables, documentation, and knowledge management repository. In this position, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of millions of Americans by working on a program that has systems that increase access to care, improve health outcomes and control costs. The ideal candidate will be looking for continual growth, can think strategically and mostly importantly, wants to make a positive difference to the people around them.

How a Technical Editor Senior will Make an Impact:

  • Reviews and edits material for punctuation, grammar, and content.
  • Identifies and modifies contextual errors, reorganizes content, and edits graphics, tables, and illustrations.
  • Develops the process for crafting and refining ideas, cultivating sources, and developing highly articulate artifacts.
  • Collaborates closely with technical teams to deliver appropriate and complex content.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced technical editor personnel.
  • Engage with teams to practice continuous improvement in processes and tooling.
  • Identifying and providing alternate solutions to any risks problems with your assignments to remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed on time and of high-quality.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ Years of related experience.

Required Technical Skills:

  • SME with Microsoft suite of products (including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint) and other related software applications.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Timeline driven
  • Experience supporting Federal, civilian and health agencies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Lucid
  • Knowledge of Drupal

Location:

  • Remote - must work East Coast hours
  • Preference to candidates residing in MD, DC, VA area for participation in quarterly management meetings.
