Human Resources Business Partner (Contract)

Location: Chanhassen, MN
Type: Contract | June - Early October

Beacon Hill's client is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to help cover a leave from early June through early October. This strategic HRBP will support a key operational group within a collaborative, people-first environment known for its commitment to excellence, employee ownership, and strong culture.

This is a highly visible and relationship-driven role. You'll step in to support leadership teams across production, operations, and product management-so the ability to build trust quickly, offer strategic HR insight, and provide compassionate, timely guidance is essential. You'll work alongside an engaged HR team and report directly to the Senior HR Manager.

This is an exciting contract role that is onsite in Chanhassen, MN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, helping them achieve business goals while maintaining strong employee engagement.

  • Build trusted relationships with managers and employees at all levels across multiple facilities.

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations (ER) and performance management issues.

  • Manage and support Leave of Absence (LOA) requests and accommodations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Coach leaders on employee concerns, performance conversations, and documentation (ROCs, PIPs).

  • Partner with other HRBPs and legal counsel as needed to navigate complex ER matters.

  • Support and facilitate performance management, momentum meetings, and goal-setting processes.

  • Help maintain and evolve accurate job descriptions and titles across the organization.

  • Stay current on all federal, state, and local employment regulations.

  • Participate in strategic HR projects as needed during the coverage period.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 as an HR Business Partner.

  • Experience with employee relations and Leave of Absence management is required.

  • Strong relationship-building, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to influence and advise leaders with confidence and diplomacy.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, manufacturing or production-oriented environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (HR certification a plus).

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Google/Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Strategic thinker with a service mindset-you naturally step in, help out, and provide solutions.

Schedule + Culture

  • End Date: Early October (with overlap at the end for re-onboarding)

  • Schedule: onsite in Chanhassen, MN

This is a great opportunity to step into a highly valued HR role within a company where people matter. If you're someone who thrives in a strategic, service-forward HRBP seat-and loves being part of a mission-driven, employee-owned culture-this role could be a perfect fit.
