Legal Invoice Analyst I (Remote)

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and analytical Legal Invoice Analyst I to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and auditing legal invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance with billing guidelines, and proper coding. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, legal billing knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit electronic legal invoices for accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines

  • Identify and adjust non-compliant invoice line items, documenting reasons for all changes

  • Verify the use of correct UTBMS codes (task, activity, and expense)

  • Accurately document billing violations and adjustment rationales

  • Route reviewed invoices through the appropriate approval process

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in invoice reviews

  • Provide feedback and insights on billing trends and issues


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a legal-related field, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in legal billing, invoice auditing, or legal operations

  • Familiarity with legal billing systems and electronic invoice submission platforms

  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and billing procedures

  • Ability to interpret and apply federal and state civil procedure rules

  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
