Job Title: Contract Accounts Payable & Cash Applications Specialist
Location: Strongsville, OH (On-site)
Pay: $20-$25/hr (based on experience)
Type: Contract

Overview:
One of our clients in Strongsville, OH is seeking a contract Accounts Payable & Cash Applications Specialist to support their accounting department. This role will focus on global AP processing and cash application duties using Sage Intacct, while also assisting the Controller with key month-end close tasks and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices with appropriate internal approvals using Stampli

  • Manage vendor inquiries and maintain accurate vendor records

  • Prepare and execute weekly payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers

  • Upload payment files to the bank platform for positive pay processing

  • Send remittance advices to vendors on a weekly basis

  • Support expense reporting and employee reimbursements through Certify/Emburse

  • Record daily bank transactions including deposits, payments, and transfers

  • Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities

  • Coordinate supporting documentation for audits and tax preparation

  • Perform other related tasks as needed by the Controller

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, especially in AP and general ledger support

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, and internal controls

  • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, Stampli, and Certify/Emburse is a perferred

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills
