Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition types, quality procedures, and engineering requirements. Performs analysis to evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes against Quality Management System requirements, applicable procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations. Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System. Conducts root cause analysis on nonconformances to identify causes and prevent recurrence. Independently develops, modifies, and documents actions to resolve problems or implement corrective/preventive actions. Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes. Negotiates concurrence, secures commitments for preventive and corrective actions, prioritizes quality activities, and ensures resolution. Reviews and validates corrective action plans and verifies effectiveness. Reviews and approves quality planning changes or disposition of nonconforming hardware/products/processes. Guides validation of configuration management, quality procedures, and material review policies to support software product delivery. Develops software system processes to align with evolving industry standards. Implements corrective actions based on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering requirements. Interprets industry standards and provides implementation recommendations. Works under general direction.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Writing and verifying records, computer-based tasks
  • Reviewing engineering drawings and ensuring alignment with tags

Must-Haves:

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
  • High school diploma

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition types, quality procedures, and engineering requirements
  • Support analysis to evaluate the quality of products, operations, and processes
  • Participate in root cause investigations of nonconforming plans
  • Apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems, and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of components and systems
  • Gather data and provide recommendations/solutions for nonconforming plans, products, or processes
  • Assist in developing, modifying, and documenting actions for problem resolution or corrective/preventive actions
  • Support corrective action efforts and submit for review
  • Participate in validation of corrective actions to ensure nonconformance resolution
  • Verify internal replication systems comply with standards and procedures
  • Create aircraft-specific airborne software packages
  • Conduct audits to ensure proper media storage and handling
  • Assist in report creation and coordinate internal distribution
  • Work under general direction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a quality-related role
  • Experience in an engineering or similar environment
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing execution systems (e.g., CMES)
  • 1+ years of experience with manufacturing engineering planning systems (e.g., PDM, CAPP)
  • Willingness and ability to work variable shifts
  • Experience with defect reduction strategies in cross-functional environments
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate degree) and 3 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor's degree + 1 year of related experience, or 5 years of related experience).
