Job Title: Payer Enrollment Transition Coordinator (Remote, Contract)
Employment Type: Contract position through Beacon Hill Staffing Group
Schedule: 25-35 hours per week (Remote, Project-Based)
Duration: Minimum 1-year contract
Position Summary:
Beacon Hill is seeking a Payer Enrollment Transition Coordinator for a remote, contract role supporting a major healthcare organization. This is a project-based assignment focused on managing provider enrollment updates during a large-scale Tax ID transition for a hospital system and medical group. You'll play a vital role in ensuring that all payer records are updated accurately and on time to prevent disruptions in revenue flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute a Tax ID and group name change project across all commercial and government payers.
Coordinate updates to payer records, including EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice), and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) information.
Submit and monitor applications for provider enrollment, re-credentialing, and updates across all affected entities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in credentialing databases.
Ensure compliance with payer requirements and internal policies.
Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and payers during the transition.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Revenue Cycle, Payer Contracting, and IT (Epic updates).
Manage supporting documents including hospital licenses, DEA registrations, and liability insurance.
Assist in internal and external audits related to payer enrollment.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 3+ years of payer enrollment experience.
Experience:
At least 2 years in managed care, credentialing, or a related healthcare setting.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with credentialing software preferred.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Knowledge of payer enrollment and healthcare credentialing processes.
