Position Summary

In this a contract opportunity, you'll guide client growth initiatives within the firm's thriving technology-focused legal group. You'll work alongside partners and cross-disciplinary colleagues to steer business development strategies grounded in market knowledge, client targeting, and compelling positioning that sets the firm apart.
This opportunity is ideal for someone experienced in the tech arena who enjoys blending creative writing with strategic priorities to shape meaningful client engagement. The position is suited to a self-motivated professional comfortable operating both independently and as part of a broader team, who also enjoys mentoring and helping others excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic client development: Work with practice leadership to discover opportunities that expand relationships across multiple services and deepen client engagement.
- Oversee persuasive proposals: Take the lead on crafting impactful responses to various client requests, proposals, and other materials, clearly articulating what differentiates the firm in the technology landscape.
- Identify and drive growth efforts: Spot market and client opportunities, then tailor initiatives that advance the firm's goals.
- Analyze trends and competitors: Keep an eye on client activities and industry moves to help fine-tune go-to-market strategies.
- Research and prepare insights: Provide robust market intelligence to prepare for client conversations, pitches, and planning.
- Highlight excellence: Partner with marketing to develop high-quality submissions for rankings and recognitions.
- Coach and build the team: Encourage professional growth and maintain high standards through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
What You'll Bring
- A college degree (or comparable experience).
- 5+ years working in marketing, practice operations, or business development-preferably within a large law firm or another sophisticated professional services setting.
- Fluency in Microsoft tools; experience using CRM platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent ability to craft narratives and distill complex ideas for executive audiences.
- A track record of supporting leaders in demanding, deadline-driven settings.
- Strength in strategic planning, analysis, and shepherding projects from concept through execution.
- Familiarity with the technology sector, particularly emerging trends such as artificial intelligence, and how to convert those into actionable business insights.
- Skill in pulling together both qualitative and quantitative data to guide decisions.
- A knack for juggling many initiatives without losing focus on results.
- Strong interpersonal skills that build trust at every level, paired with sound judgment.
- A flexible, team-first approach in an environment where change is constant and global collaboration is the norm.
