A manufacturing company in Elk Grove Village is looking for a permanent Customer Service Representative to join their growing team! This is a family feel environment that promotes from within. The role involves determining customer needs, providing specialized information, assisting with orders, and ensuring services are secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order management, production follow-up, and shipment scheduling
- Managing revisions, accruals, and EDI order processes
- Maintaining customer-specific systems and portals
- Diagnosing customer issues and recommending solutions
- Performing office support functions, including phone backup and message handling
- Ensuring confidentiality and working under deadlines
- UPS shipping of samples/documents and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent with specialized training in customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and order-processing systems
- 3+ years of customer service experience with consumer products
- Interpersonal skills, grammar checking, filing, detail perception, reading comprehension, operating software, and general math
