Onsite Mail & Payment Processing Associate
Brooklyn, OH | $18/hour | Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Contract-to-hire opportunity with a leading financial institution
We are currently hiring for an Onsite Mail & Payment Processing Associate to support one of our clients in Brooklyn, OH. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment and are looking to gain experience in lockbox or remittance processing.
Job Brief
Under direct supervision, this role accelerates the receipt and processing of client remittance data, supports check preparation for clearing, and assists with related administrative duties. It follows standard operating procedures and client-specific instructions to ensure timely and accurate results.
Attendance is critical. This position requires a consistent weekly commitment of 38-40 hours.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, sort, and process client remittances and invoice data
Open and extract contents from incoming mail
Prepare and batch documents for processing
Ensure compliance with all corporate and departmental policies
Support cross-functional teams as needed (e.g., mail sort, data entry, keying)
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Comfortable operating general office equipment
Dependable and flexible, with a willingness to work additional hours if needed
Able to meet production and accuracy standards within 90 days of training completion
Preferred:
Prior experience in lockbox, item processing, or mailroom operations
Proficient in 10-key data entry and basic PC/keyboard use
