MUST HAVES:

• Full-processing payroll experience
• Multi-State payroll experience.
• Require 5+ years of stable, high-volume payroll processing experience
• Strong PC skills including intermediate MS Word and advanced MS Excel - specifically Pivot Tables and V lookup experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle weekly and biweekly payroll processing for 5K multi-state employees
• Research payroll, tax and garnishment related inquiries and take appropriate action to resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Audit preview and post payroll reports for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with adding or closing tax jurisdictions
• Process garnishments and other court orders in a timely manner by mail or serving the employees and setting up deductions into the payroll system
• Assists with year-end payroll processing duties to ensure accurate and timely W2s
• Import time & attendance, payroll and benefits deduction data
• Maintain supporting documentation of all payrolls
• Manipulate data in MS Excel spreadsheets to identify accuracy and errors
• Calculate pay, manual checks, and FLSA overtime
• Maintain the strictest confidence and confidentiality pertaining to all payroll matters
• Partner with HR and Legal on payroll and benefit related issues
• Fill in for Payroll Manager, as needed
• May assist with payroll processing and related projects
• Perform other job duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager or Payroll Director
