Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at our Savage, MN location. This role is primarily responsible for processing weekly union payroll and handling accounts payable tasks in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, organized, and comfortable working onsite with some flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll (Primary Focus):

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 85 factory employees

• Manage union payroll in compliance with union contracts, including tracking and deducting union dues

• Utilize Paylocity for payroll processing (recently transitioned from Paycor)

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with all payroll-related regulations

Accounts Payable:

• Process fewer than 100 invoices per week

• Work within current system (AS400) - no prior experience required, as the team will be transitioning to Sage or Kiwi next year

• Support the finance team in invoice tracking, data entry, and payment processing

Qualifications:

• Experience with payroll processing, preferably in a union environment

• Familiarity with Paylocity (or similar payroll platforms such as Paycor)

• Accounts payable experience is a plus, but not required

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Work Environment:

• Onsite in Savage, MN

• Flexible scheduling available - team members start as early as 6:30 AM
