Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Onsite - North Loop, Minneapolis, MN (Parking provided)
Compensation: $20/hour
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Hours: 7 AM-4 PM or 8 AM-5 PM
Position Overview:
Beacon Hill's client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. This role supports daily logistics operations with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service. You'll be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing load assignments, and maintaining clear communication with customers and carriers, all in line with office policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Tasks:
Create orders, activate shipments, build and assign loads, and schedule appointments.
Track and trace shipments, invoice, and maintain accurate financial records.
Handle non-standardized carrier payment tasks (e.g., T-cheks).
Reject/cancel orders, update and resolve shipping events, and book or bounce loads.
Execute load builder profiles effectively for shipment management.
Monitoring & Communication:
Monitor task boards and designated email accounts for prompt responses to customer and carrier inquiries.
Document shipment-related events using SOPs and logistics knowledge.
Follow escalation procedures and ensure full resolution for customer/carrier satisfaction.
Validate load data accuracy in internal systems, meeting company and customer standards.
Additional Duties:
Perform other responsibilities as assigned, including tasks specific to team or country needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year experience as an Associate Operations Coordinator.
At least 2 years of experience in call center customer service or transportation/logistics.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Previous customer service experience in a call center or similar environment.
Strong communication, prioritization, and time management skills.
High attention to detail.
