Beacon Hill is a proud partner to a reputable Law Firm in Chicago. We are currently hiring an Accounting Associate.
Responsibilities/Duties
The responsibilities of the Accounting Associate are, but are not limited to:
Process and record daily financial transactions, including vendor invoices, customer payments, and journal entries.
Assist with accounts payable functions: invoice verification, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
Assist with accounts receivable functions: invoicing, collections follow-up, and posting customer receipts.
Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations on a regular basis.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations.
Maintain organized financial files and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and analytical data as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 0-5 years of Industry or Internship Experience
- Strong data entry, written and verbal communication skills
