Job Responsibilities:
- Determine economic order quantities based upon manufacturers' required order lead-time, minimum orders, and warehouse space constraints
- Place daily & weekly replenishment orders for required categories, follow thru with order confirmations, and close out received orders
- Request detailed product specifications from new vendors and/or current vendors that are supplying new ingredients.
- Work with our Cost Accounting Team to create new items in our Item Master in AX
- Work with our Sales & Marketing Team to manage inbound packaging ingredients required to support new product launches, discontinued items, and promotions
- Ensure neither TFNJ or third-party packaging supplier is left with inventory liability from product discontinuations or missed sales forecasts
- The role will require attention to production needs throughout the week whether the PMP is onsite or off to support operations as the plant does not shut down manufacturing operations at all during the year (365 days of production).
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- 3-5 years of Procurement experience
- Food Industry & Manufacturing preferred but not mandatory
- Packaging Experience preferred but not mandatory
- Good oral and written communication skills are required
- Detail oriented is a must
- Self-motivated to follow thru on assigned tasks and projects
- Able to work well with and support other departments
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
- Experience with utilizing an ERP system required
- Past inventory management experience highly preferred
