Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Public Finance Paralegal to join a commercial law firm in Austin. As the Public Finance Paralegal, you will support attorneys in the structuring, documentation, and closing of public finance transactions. This role involves working closely with government entities, underwriters, and financial advisors to facilitate bond issuances and other public financing instruments. The ideal candidate will have experience in public finance or commercial real estate. This opportunity is full-time, direct-hire, and fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing and reviewing legal documents related to municipal bond offerings, including resolutions, indentures, official statements, and closing documents
• Coordinate transaction closings, including scheduling, document execution, and post-closing filings
• Conduct legal research related to public finance laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Maintain and organize transaction files, including electronic document management systems
• Draft summaries and memoranda for internal and client use
• Liaise with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with SEC and MSRB regulations
• Assist with continuing disclosure filings and compliance tracking

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in a law firm with a focus on CRE or public finance
• Strong understanding of public finance terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Experience working with government agencies or public entities
• Familiarity with EMMA (Electronic Municipal Market Access) and other public finance platforms
• Knowledge of tax-exempt financing and IRS regulations related to municipal bonds
