Our client, a growing transportation company located in Carol Stream, is looking for a Air Freight Specialist to add to their team! This position is responsible for supporting the growth and development of the Air Freight product and will be working closely with the corporate product teams. This is a permanent position with the hours of 8-5pm Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

· Cross-support of Airfreight RFQ's, RFP's, RFI's, and global /strategic opportunities.

· Quote Follow up and outcome documentation and reporting.

· Work closely with global airfreight team and control towers regarding procurement and pricing strategy

· Champion and enforce all policies within the departments area of responsibility

· Proactively identify and evaluate potential problems and areas of improvements for assigned functions.

· Assist with continued improvement initiatives to gain system efficiencies and ensure process evolution. Including feedback on pricing strategy and ongoing quoting analysis

· Cross functionality and flex support in other areas of International Services as needed

Requirements:

· At least 3 year of Air Freight Import and Export experience, including pricing

· Must have solid understand of computer systems; MS Office and Cargowise preferred

· Must be an organized and self motivated individual with ability to interface and function effectively in a high pressure multitasking environment while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers, vendors, and team members.

· Strong organizational skills

· Must be able to maintain sensitivity to proprietary matters

· Regular attendance
