Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll for Fargo-based construction employees. This role ensures all employees are paid correctly and on time, in compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. The Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll records, manage deductions, and provide support to HR and accounting functions related to payroll.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process biweekly payroll for Fargo construction employees.

• Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy before payroll submission.

• Ensure correct application of overtime, shift differentials, and project-based pay.

• Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee profiles and pay rates.

• Handle payroll deductions such as benefits, taxes, and garnishments.

• Reconcile payroll transactions with accounting records.

• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Generate payroll-related reports for HR and accounting as needed.

• Ensure compliance with federal and North Dakota wage and hour regulations.

• Assist HR with onboarding and terminations to ensure accurate pay setup and final pay.
