National Firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation-from initial investigation and case development to mediation, arbitration, and trial. The successful candidate will independently manage a caseload and contribute to delivering cost-effective, high-quality legal services to our clients.
We're looking for someone with excellent time management, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a flexible attitude toward occasional travel and overtime. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work seamlessly with colleagues at all levels are essential. The ideal candidate will also bring deep knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, sharp analytical and research abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing for mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Maintain and organize case files efficiently
- File documents in state and federal courts, including e-filings
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys and third parties
- Coordinate logistics for trials and hearings
- Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support teams on electronic document productions
- Provide on-site trial support when needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Meet a billable hour target
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial defense litigation; 5+ years preferred
- Prior trial experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with legal software such as Relativity, OnCue, and Collaborate preferred
- Experience with Bluebooking and cite-checking is a plus
