A well-established manufacturing organization with more than 30 years of success is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager (or an experienced Senior Cost Accountant ready to take the next step in their career) to join their team. This is a highly visible role where you'll take ownership of inventory and cost accounting functions, with a particular focus on building and implementing standard costing processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all cost accounting activities, including inventory accounting, variance analysis, and cost reporting.

• Partner with leadership to establish and implement standard costing methodologies.

• Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to support operational and financial decision-making.

• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

• Leverage the AS400 system (with an upgrade anticipated) to manage cost accounting and reporting functions.

Qualifications

• CPA or CMA designation preferred, but not required.

• Strong background in inventory and cost accounting.

• Proven ability to establish and manage standard costing processes.

• Prior experience within the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
