This project-based role will focus on executing a variety of technical accounting initiatives over the coming months. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performing ASC 606 revenue recognition analyses and drafting supporting memos for multiple subsidiaries; conducting goodwill impairment assessments; preparing and updating purchase price accounting (PPA) workbooks and documenting measurement period adjustments; reviewing business contracts for accounting implications; and supporting other ad hoc technical accounting projects, often in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
The role will also serve as a consultative resource for complex technical accounting matters and business transactions across the organization. Responsibilities include researching and documenting technical accounting issues, providing recommendations to management, and potentially partnering with Financial Reporting Analysts to ensure external disclosures are complete and compliant with U.S. GAAP. The position may also involve monitoring emerging FASB and SEC guidance, participating in the external audit process as a technical resource, and supporting internal control procedures related to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Strong leadership, sound judgment, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety and integrity are essential.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting and active CPA license.
* Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.
* Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation principles.
* Demonstrated ability to perform technical accounting research and draft clear, concise memos.
* Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to maintain a strategic perspective.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across teams.
* Strong ethical standards aligned with the Company's values.
