Job Title: Payroll Implementation Specialist (Contract)

Location: Hybrid - Minneapolis, MN
Schedule: Must work close to CST hours (8 AM - 5 PM), flexible
Duration: December - March/April
Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour


Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Implementation Specialist to support the implementation of Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) Fusion and assist with payroll operations during a critical project rollout. This role requires strong expertise in multi-state payroll processing and ADP systems, with experience in timekeeping platforms such as Oracle or Kronos being a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Timekeeping Analysis & Testing

    • Assist with end-to-end analysis and testing of business requirements for Oracle Time and Labor Fusion.
    • Evaluate OTL demos for best practices and compliance.
    • Collaborate with HRIS, Compliance, and Payroll teams to document, test, and implement system enhancements, reporting, and new functionalities.
    • Create and execute regression test cases for various employee types.
    • Provide subject matter expertise in OTL, overtime calculations, and FLSA requirements.
  • Payroll Support

    • Learn end-to-end payroll processes to assist employees during rollout of new time entry processes.
    • Perform general payroll tasks as needed to support business operations.
    • Ensure compliance with legislative changes at both state and federal levels.
  • Employee Support

    • Answer employee questions regarding timecards and new timekeeping processes.
    • Support implementation of web clock, mobile, and timesheet functionalities in Oracle Time and Labor.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in multi-state payroll processing.
  • Strong ADP experience (mandatory).
  • Familiarity with Oracle Time and Labor Fusion or similar systems (e.g., Kronos).
  • Knowledge of FLSA requirements and overtime calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across HRIS, Compliance, and Payroll teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with payroll system implementations and testing.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
