A private food label company in Glenview is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support various functions within our department. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the food industry who are ready to contribute and grow. The Data Entry Clerk will assist with a variety of tasks in R&D, Quality Assurance, and general operations, including logging information, organizing materials, and supporting the overall efficiency of the department. Food science knowledge is required along with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry & Logging: Accurately log and record data related to product batches, quality checks, and production activities.
  • Inventory Management: Help with organizing and storing materials, ingredients, and products in designated areas.
  • R&D Support: Assist the R&D team by preparing ingredients, setting up samples, and maintaining lab materials.
  • Quality Assurance Tasks: Support quality checks by helping inspect product samples, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Miscellaneous Department Tasks: Provide general assistance to the team by helping with various department needs, including maintaining equipment, cleaning, and other essential duties.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations across the department and report any issues or discrepancies.
  • Visitor Reception: Act as the front-line "face" of the company by greeting visitors at the door, providing directions, and answering basic questions with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay open to learning new skills, equipment, and processes related to food production and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 1+ year of experience in food science, food safety, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
