Senior Payroll Specialist - Temporary Assignment

Location: Onsite, West of Minneapolis, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, regular business hours with flexibility
Duration: Through January (likely to extend to March; possible conversion to permanent)
Start Date: ASAP - interviews happening this week

Beacon Hill's client west of Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team immediately. This is a critical role covering for an employee on unexpected leave, and the ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with minimal training.

What You'll Do

• Process full-cycle payroll (end-to-end) for approximately 450-500 employees on a biweekly schedule.
• Manage payroll for a mixed workforce of permanent employees and consultants, including accrual pay for hours worked beyond thresholds.
• Handle billable hours and ensure accurate time tracking.
• Maintain and update process documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience processing complex, full-cycle payroll independently.
• Familiarity with billable hours and accrual pay structures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience with Paylocity (preferred) and Deltec for timesheets.
• Ability to work onsite and start immediately.
