Job Title: Part-time Bookkeeper

Location: On-site - Eden Prairie, MN
Schedule: 28 hours/week, flexible within M-F business hours (some weekend work optional)
Pay: $26/hr
Parking: Free employee parking provided


About the Role

Beacon Hill's client is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to support the property management team of a multi-tenant retail environment. This position provides essential accounting support and contributes as a key member of the management team.

The position averages 28 hours per week and requires strong attention to detail, comfort with real estate or property management accounting, and the ability to maintain a consistent weekly work routine.


What You'll Do

1. Accounts Receivable

  • Make collections calls
  • Enter cash receipts
  • Process billing adjustments
  • Perform tenant ledger reconciliations

2. Accounts Payable

  • Enter invoices
  • Verify audit trail accuracy
  • Ensure complete supporting documentation

3. Lease Analysis

  • Review leases and leasing activity to ensure accurate billing
  • Calculate or review additional charges when applicable

4. Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain sales information and collect sales reports
  • Enter sales data into the accounting system
  • Maintain vendor, sales, and other operational files
  • Assist the Property Accountant as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in Accounting preferred

Experience

  • 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Retail, real estate, or multi-tenant property experience strongly preferred

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Excel and real estate accounting software preferred
