Receptionist

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | $18/hour
Temp-to-Hire | Richmond, VA

We are seeking a Receptionist to support daily front desk operations and ensure a professional, well-organized workplace environment. This role is responsible for managing visitor interactions, supporting building operations, and serving as a key point of contact for associates, visitors, and service partners.

The Receptionist plays an important role in maintaining building standards, security protocols, and consistent service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitors, associates, and vendors entering the building

  • Manage visitor registration, badge issuance, and adherence to established security procedures

  • Respond to general inquiries, provide directions, and assist with basic access or building-related needs

  • Support building operations through routine walk-throughs, submission and escalation of work orders, and monitoring of common areas

  • Identify, document, and escalate safety or security concerns in accordance with procedures

  • Provide operational feedback to improve front desk and workplace processes

  • Support on-site meetings and events as needed, including room setup, coordination with catering and service providers, basic AV/IT assistance, and post-event reset (at select locations)

  • Collaborate with facilities, security, and building services teams to ensure consistent front-of-house operations


Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or corporate customer service role

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, including senior leadership

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; ability to learn visitor management and building systems

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods while maintaining a professional presence
