Data Center Construction Project Manager - Onsite in Austin Texas

A rapidly growing global infrastructure provider is seeking a Data Center Construction Project Manager to lead large‑scale construction projects across multiple regions. This role supports the full project life cycle, from early planning through commissioning and turnover, and requires strong coordination across design, construction, and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain integrated schedules using P6 or MS Project.
  • Manage the master construction schedule from site mobilization to completion.
  • Create and track budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, and change‑order activities.
  • Lead design reviews and maintain RACI matrices and action logs.
  • Oversee contract processes including RFPs, bid evaluations, awards, and close‑out.
  • Identify long‑lead risks (transformers, chillers, switchgear) and drive mitigation plans.
  • Provide clear status updates to internal leaders and external partners.
  • Support and guide project managers, construction managers, and superintendents.
  • Develop staffing plans and assist with team performance and development.
  • Lead project standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; construction management is a plus.
  • 8+ years of project management experience in data centers, semiconductors or large industrial builds.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience delivering fast‑track, multi‑region projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
  • Proficiency with P6/Project, Procore, Ares, Excel, Smartsheet, and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Experience leading teams across regions and time zones.
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ to active project sites.
