Our client is looking for a Software Engineer to add to their team. They will focus primarily on back-end development with some front-end responsibilities. This role involves working on both external and internal applications and will also will play a key role in building a new application. This person will be doing primarily new development but also helping support and maintain existing applications. The position requires experience working with APIs, including integrating with existing APIs and, ideally, building APIs from scratch. The engineer will be responsible for code testing using Jest and familiarity with AWS is a plus. This is a highly collaborative role that offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a flexible, team environment.
- 2+ years software development experience
- Strong background in building RESTful APIs with Node.js, Python, or Java
- Proficiency in front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks; Vue.js or React
- Basic understanding of database design and ability to write SQL queries
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub preferred)
- Knowledge of testing frameworks, ideally Jest
- Familiarity with DevOps tools
- Ability to write clear and maintainable code documentation
