Job Title: Contract Procurement Specialist

Pay: $33-$37/hour
Location: Hybrid - Saint Paul, MN (3 days onsite, Wednesdays required)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM | 45-min unpaid lunch
Type: Contract role covering a leave of absence

Position Overview

Beacon Hill's client in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a strong communicator, collaborator, and problem solver with procurement experience in professional services, consulting, printing, and corporate services. This is a contract position to cover an intermittent leave of absence and provide additional support to the team.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity with contracting and sourcing specifically experience with competitive quotes and RFP processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts for services (Consulting, Print/Marketing, Professional Services) to mitigate business, financial, legal, reputational, and technical risk.
• Lead sourcing, contracting, and vendor management activities using a relationship-first approach.
• Provide relationship management for assigned vendors, establishing and maintaining beneficial long-term partnerships.
• Conduct data-driven analyses to support creative problem solving and negotiation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing process.

Qualifications

Required:

• Passion for negotiating win-win, mutually beneficial vendor partnerships.
• Understanding of contract law and compliance, with experience assessing and mitigating risk.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage high volumes.
• Demonstrated project management skills.

Preferred:

• 1-3 years' experience in procurement, ideally in professional category-related contracting, sourcing, or vendor management.
• Bachelor's degree.
