**ONSITE IN LAPEER, MI**

Description of Role/Responsibilities/Project:

As a People Operations Partner at the manufacturing facility, you will be the primary HR partner for the hourly workforce. You will:

  • Lead hourly talent acquisition; partner with Group Leaders to define competencies for openings
  • Promote inclusive employee experiences; support communication, engagement, retention, and community events
  • Drive onboarding, performance, training; administer recognition programs, job changes, separations
  • Ensure consistent application and execution of HR programs/processes
  • Maintain accurate HRIS updates across the employee lifecycle
  • Investigate employee relations matters and act as escalation point
  • Provide flexibility to support employees across all shifts

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years' of HR Generalist experience in manufacturing/industrial environments
  • Employee relations: investigations, coaching, disciplinary actions, timecards, attendance write-ups
  • Hourly talent acquisition: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding production/plant roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; trusted partner across all levels
  • Proficiency in Michigan labor laws
  • HRIS experience; maintain accurate career/lifecycle changes
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion with confidential info
  • Ability to support multi-shift operations and be flexible across all shifts (including occasional early hours)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency; problem-solving, decision-making in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to influence and coach leaders to drive positive employee outcomes

  • Workday experience
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
